ABOUT ADVENT DROP
ADVENT DROPS contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, which belong to the group of medicines called Penicillin and Beta-Lactamase Inhibitors. It is used in children for the treatment of various bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia), urinary tract infections (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), bone and joint infections, middle ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, sinusitis, skin, and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, animal bites, dental infections (severe dental abscess), etc. ADVENT DROPS is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment, history of liver problems or jaundice after taking penicillin antibiotics. ADVENT DROPS should be used with caution in patients suffering from glandular fever (viral infection causing sore throat, high fever, swelling of salivary glands, etc), liver disease, kidney disease, who are not passing urine daily. ADVENT DROPS is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless clearly necessary. ADVENT DROPS should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breastmilk. ADVENT DROPS should be used with caution in neonates and infants less than 12 weeks of age. Consult your doctor before taking ADVENT DROPS. The most common side effects after taking ADVENT DROPS are vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea, thrush (fungal infections) etc. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptoms get worse or persist.
